Carbon Pricing Parliament debate

Citizens’ Climate Lobby UK are absolutely thrilled that carbon pricing is to be debated in the UK parliament, Monday 1st November 2021. We commend the ZeroC campaign for their work on the petition which has triggered the debate.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby UK support an upstream carbon fee where 100 percent of the money collected is given back to UK households in equal amounts, a Climate Income.

This is a fair way of pricing carbon highly, as it protects vulnerable household finances as well as making fossil fuels uneconomical to burn, shifting the UK (and the world) towards clean energy.
