Our Structure

Citizens’ Climate Lobby UK

We are an informally constituted community group, supporting a network of self-organizing campaign groups, each of which must have a named contact with the steering group and provide an email address. Membership is open to all people over the age of 18 (or younger with parents’ permission).

Steering Group
Help create a coordinated network of campaign groups, educated in the policy & related issues and current events, especially as to relevant events in the US and the EU
Organise presentations and initial meetings
Help with networking and initial organisation of personnel if needed
Keep in contact by attending their meetings/email/personal contact
Network with CCL globally and maintain liaison with our US parent organisation
Carry out administrative tasks
Oversee our internet presence

The steering group must have a minimum of 4 people who conduct regular meetings, in person or tele-conference, to keep agreement on policy and working methods with a view to offering an agenda and support to guide the campaign groups in our organization. As the organisation grows other members may be co-opted onto the steering group as necessary. In order for decisions to be made concerning meetings of the steering group, actions, etc., at least 3 members of the steering group must be present or contacted in some way to agree the minutes and thus ratify decisions. Meetings are minuted and the minutes are circulated to the steering group and any others attending a particular meeting, and are available to other CCL(UK) volunteers on request.
