Local group meeting – all welcome. The meeting will include an introductory Q&A, the current CCL campaign, and a forum for CCL current activity and ideas for the future.
Come and meet us to learn about the CCL policy to cut down greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change and how to create political will – learn about lobbying our MP, Claire Perry, to bring the policy into action, securing stories in the media, running stands at events and giving presentations to groups and influencers.
We are a friendly grassroots lobbying group that brings about the political will to keep our liveable world. We aren’t about individual action (such as recycling) because that hasn’t made enough difference to climate change; we lobby, currently, for a political policy – carbon fee and dividend – to drastically cut greenhouse gas emissions.
We are at a crucial point in the effort to restrict global climate change, and a significant moment for our solution to cut emissions, Carbon Fee & Dividend (CF&D). With the UK government currently consulting on carbon pricing, as well as a campaign for change running across the EU, we are at a crossroads with a vital choice to make.
Whether you are new to the concept of CF&D, or already keen to take action, we would love to see you and discuss it further.
To find out more about the UK consultation on carbon pricing (deadline 12 July 2019), the EU petition for CF&D (deadline 31 October 2019 (UK) / 6 May 2020 (EU)), plus other recent news, please see the CCL May newsletter.
A separate petition has also just been started, asking the UK government to introduce CF&D in this country (deadline 12 December 2019).
